The Power of Positive Thinking...
November 4th, 2008

My Wife always tells me that I have been able to get what I wanted.  This dates back over 10 years years ago, when I told her I wanted a BMW.  I was making next to nothing, was happy to own a Chevy with power windows, much less wanting a German luxury car.  Little did I know that two years later I would have gone from almost buying a old BMW, too looking a late model, actually paying cash for a brand new 3 series (Thank you dot-com boom).  Now I have to disclaim this by saying your results my vary, but it did get me thinking.  It doesn’t take much to see the ripple effect of the US economy right now.  Over the last few weeks, I have had some talks about how to get the economy back on track.  The Government is talking about a stimulus package, which should help, however if we can all start thinking positive can it help turn the ship sort of speak. So what do I mean.  If we realize that things WILL get better, and live lives normally, purchase that TV (if needed), patronize your favorite restaurant, and be cautious and realistic we can slow and maybe reverse this.      Basic economic principle….Buying that TV at Costco keeps the
Costco employee employed, he or she can pay rent, buy food, and maybe even splurge a little.  You know the drill.   On the radio the other day I heard an ad for a car company mimicking this, of course they want you to by their car, but even was bold enough to say if not from us, still buy, as it is good for the economy Next week, we have a changing of leadership here in the US, and change is good, regardless of who you voted for, but it wont be 1 man that changes the world. It takes a village to raise a child and the whole country to get back on track. The mental aspect of this could be huge, so think positive, be reastic and and lets get back on track.
